About Lisa Trombley

“Navigating the Future Together”

Lisa Trombley is a native Michigander who grew up on the Great Lakes and, after over 30 years in the Washington, DC area as a government contractor, Lisa retired to Traverse City.

Armed with a degree from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree from American University, she provided a range of technology solutions and services to the Federal Government, including civil agencies, the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community. She is an accomplished executive with strategic vision and a record of results. She has extensive experience defining and implementing strategy, executing operating plans and budgets, and optimizing performance and service delivery. She is a champion for staff development. Throughout her life she has mentored employees, decision makers and students, enabling their capabilities and passion to deliver win-win results for both the stakeholders and the individuals.

Since moving back to Michigan, Lisa has been active in the community and involved with several local organizations, including Impact100TC, 20Fathoms, Newcomers Club and the Old Mission Women’s Club.

Lisa is a precinct delegate and has worked several elections as an absentee voting election inspector for her township.  In 2021 she was elected to be Chair of the Grand Traverse County Republican Party. As chair during the 2022 election cycle, she served as a liaison to both local and state-wide candidates. She established an “Action Center” which served as the region’s hub supporting district and candidate events for several counties. Additionally, Lisa and the team knocked hundreds of doors across Grand Traverse County each week and raised over $20K for local candidates.

The most important title Lisa holds is “Mom.” Lisa is mother to Chase who attended college in Michigan and has now moved back to Traverse City. Lisa’s hobbies include spending time outdoors, enjoying all that northern Michigan has to offer and watching her Michigan Wolverines (and the Spartans, since her house has always been divided) compete in sports. Lisa has always had a passion to serve and now she wants to serve her community by representing the people of the 103rd House District.
